WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ – The Monmouth University men’s and women’s swimming teams claimed victories over visiting Manhattan on Friday evening at Steadman Natatorium.
The men’s defeated the Jaspers, 157-72, while the women’s team earned a 160-79 victory.
Owen Dyson, Ziv Cohen, Jensen Ritter and Blake Reynolds each won two races individually to help Monmouth secure the team wins.

The men’s 200-yard medley relay finished first with a time of 1:35.53. Owen Dyson, Andrew Denman-Grimm, Kacper Sobieszuk and Blake Reynolds combined for the win.
Monmouth’s women also won the 200-yard medley relay as Jenna Pryne, Isabella Aguanno, Jensen Ritter, and Edie Ancell clocked in with a winning time of 1:52.10.
Monmouth won the men’s and women’s 200-yard freestyle relay teams each placed first. For the men, Owen Dyson, Blake Reynolds, Thomas Svane-From and Trevor Nolan put together a time of 1:26:.37. The women’s team of Edie Ancell Jensen Ritter, Anastasia Vasilakis and Jenna Pryne clocked in at 1:42.83.
Ziv Cohen placed first in the 200-yard freestyle in 1:44.83. Cohen also won the 500-yard freestyle in 4:43.95 to give him five victories in his rookie season.
Owen Dyson hit the wall first in the 50-yard backstroke, winning in 24.22. Dyson also won the 100-yard backstroke in 53.07, giving him three wins this year and four in his career.
Jensen Ritter posted a time of 58.09 to win the 100-yard butterfly. Ritter also won the 50-yard butterfly in 26.96. Ritter has seven wins on the season and 17 for her career.
Blake Reynolds placed first in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 22.07. Reynolds also won the 50-yard butterfly in 22.92. He has six wins on the season and 38 for his career.
Isabella Aguanno placed first in the 50-yard breaststroke with a time of 32.83. It was her third win this season and the fifth of her career.
Andrew Denman-Grimm won the first race of his freshman season when he touched the wall first in the 50-yard breaststroke with a time of 26.94.
Nevo Ein-Dor Truong picked up the first win of his career when he clocked in at 53.13 in the 100-yard butterfly.
Gavin Loughlin collected his second victory of the season in the 100-yard freestyle, finishing in 47.17.
Alexa Houseknect won the 100-yard backstroke in 1:01.05. It was her first win of the year and the fifth of her career.
Kristen Gullickson collected her first individual win as a Hawk with a time of 1:11.95 in the 100-yard breaststroke.
Edie Ancell posted a time of 5:27.05 to win the women’s 500-yard freestyle. It was her first win of the year and the third of her career.
Jenna Pryne picked up a win in the 200-yard IM with a time of 2:13.26. It was her third win this season and the fifth of her career.
Kacper Sobieszuk won the 200-yard IM in 1:57.76 for his fourth win of the season.
