Miami University women’s swimming and diving team is back in the pool on Saturday, Jan. 10, to swim against Cincinnati at the Keating Aquatics Center at 1 p.m.
The RedHawks return to the water after winning their annual Miami Invitational over Toledo, Cincinnati, Emory, Denison, Wright State and Urbana. Miami looks to extend its dual meet record to 4-2 after a win over Butler on Nov. 8.
Miami was led by five first-place finishes from sophomore Elise Campbell, junior Aubrey Kluth, senior Stephanie Pearce, sophomore Stephanie LeMire and sophomore Taylor LeCount. The 200-yard medley relay team of sophomore Brittany Dudzinski, Lemire, junior Gabrielle Veri and senior Annie Marquiss ended up tying Emory for first place, with both teams clocking in at 1:42.78.
Cincinnati is now 1-3 in dual meets after a 178-142 loss to Georgia Tech on Dec. 20. The Bearcats also came in third in the Miami Invitational on Dec. 4-6, falling to Miami and Toledo. They also competed in a meet against Ohio State and Purdue on Oct. 24, where they finished last among the three teams. The Bearcats are led by first-year head coach Mandy Commons-DiSalle, who took over after four years as an assistant coach.
