EDISON, N.J. – Marist sophomore Esabelle Gervasio was named Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Diver of the Week. This is the third time this season Gervasio has earned the recognition and fifth time this season a Marist female diver has been named MAAC Diver of the Week.
Gervasio went a perfect 4-for-4 last week, winning both the 1-meter and 3-meter against Binghamton and Boston College. Against Boston College, she scored 232.2 and 258.67 on the 1- and 3-meter. Against Binghamton, she scored 289.5 and 255.6 on the 1- and 3-meter.
Her score of 289.5 on the 1-meter against Binghamton not only was an NCAA regional qualifying score but also broke a school record.
Swimming and Diving will host Southern Connecticut State on Saturday, January 19 for their final home meet of the season.
