The prize money to be awarded at the 2015 FINA World Aquatics Championships in Kazan, Russia have been announced in the official event summons, and those prize moneys remain unchanged from those awarded at the 2013 World Championships in Barcelona.
Specifically, swimming will award the most total money at $1.638 million. High diving at the other end of the spectrum will award the least amount of money (just $115,500 to men and women combined), but will pay out to much deeper places than the other sports.
There is also a $25,000 bonus that will be awarded to each swimming World Record.

Can Ledecky receive this money if she’s committed to going to college?
Swimmer – while the NCAA rules are complex, yes and no. She can receive money to cover her expenses. She can also receive certain other limited money (for example, any Operation Gold money from the USOC).
