Kyle Robrock Posts 22.9 50 Free to Close Gresham Sectionals

Results on Meet Mobile under ‘2016 Speedo Sectionals at Gresham’

On the final night of competition at the 2016 Speedo Sectionals in Gresham, Oregon, Denver Hilltoppers’ Kyle Robrock zeroed in on his best time in the 50 free for a 22.93, just off of his PR of 22.90. 2nd went to Scottsdale Aquatic Club’s Jack Blake (23.38).

A pair of wins went to the Phoenix Swim Club courtesy of Matti Harrison and Cameron Heidenreich. In the men’s 200 IM, it was Heidenreich with a 4.03 second drop from prelims to finish on top at 2:08.38, his first time under 2:11. Harrison, meanwhile, swam a best time of 16:59.79 in the mile, the only finisher to crack the 17-minute mark. Aaron Sett took the men’s race in 16:06.99.

In the women’s 50 free, Alayna Connor of the Dolphins Portland Swimming sprinted her way to a 26.31 to hit the wall first, just ahead of Katelyn Martin (26.34) and recent Arizona commit Jamie Stone (26.39).

The final events of the meet were the 400 medley relays, with The Dolphins Portland Swimming taking the women’s race in 4:19.08 and Tualatin Hills SC winning the men’s race (3:52.36). TDPS was led by a 1:12.43 breast split from 14-year-old Kaitlyn Dobler and a 57.07 anchor leg from 50 free winner Alayna Connor. Tualatin Hills got two solid splits from the middle, a 1:05.91 breast split from Caspar Corbeau and a 55.42 fly leg from Evan Carlson.
