Stop if you’ve heard this one before this fall: Kira Toussaint has broken a Dutch Record. This one, coming on day 2 of her International Swimming League debut for Iron, was in the 100 backstroke, where she finished 2nd in the individual race in 55.58.

That marks the 9th time that she’s either broken or set a Dutch Record in the 50 or 100 meter backstroke over the last 2 months.

This time, she took out her own record of 55.74 that she broke at the Martinez Cup in Amsterdam on October 19th, and tied again on a medley relay leadoff.

  • 100 back LCM – 3 times and a tie
  • 100 back SCM – 2 times and a tie
  • 50 back LCM – 2 times
  • 50 back SCM – 1 time

Toussaint scored 19 individual points in her first meet swimming for Iron. She’s raced a ton this fall, but opted for other meets rather than Iron’s first 2 ISL events in Lewisville and Budapest.

That swim from Toussaint now leaps her into 8th place among all-time top performers.
