Keiser Seahawks Sweep The 2025 NAIA Swimming & Diving Championships

2025 NAIA Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving National Championships

The Keiser Seahawks swept the 2025 NAIA Swimming & Diving Championships this weekend. The women’s program claimed its fourth-straight national title, tallying 636.5 points to win by a 207-point margin over St. Thomas University. The Seahawk men won the sixth title in program history by an even wider margin, finishing 379 points ahead of SCAD with 379 points. It was the third most dominant performance in NAIA Championship history, per the league website.

The women’s and men’s teams both led from start to finish, sweeping the 200 medley and 800 freestyle relays on night one, and winning the men’s 1-meter diving board. From there, the teams kept rolling, with the women’s team picking up four more event wins and the men’s team winning 12 more golds. The team’s dominance was most on display in the men’s 50 freestyle as Noel de Geus, Hanno Boeckmann, Matheus Queiroz, and Jake Hutchinson went 1-2-3-4. Similarly, the Seahawk women shined in the 100 butterfly as Ines Laurent, Luiza Bersi, and Zselyke Papp swept the podium.

In addition to her podium finishes, Bersi also contributed to all four of the Keiser women’s winning relays.

De Geus, Isaiah Aleksenko, and Juan Gonzalez all earned double-event wins on the men’s side. After repeating as the 50 freestyle champion, he swept the breaststroke events in 51.73/1:57.18.

Aleksenko, a freshman, also earned gold in his three individual events, winning the 100 butterfly (46.01), 100 backstroke (46.12), and 200 butterfly (1:42.87), hitting lifetime bests in the latter two. Gonzalez helped the Seahawks on the boards, winning the 1- and 3-meter boards.

Keiser Event Winners — Men

The Seahawk men swept the honors at the end of the meet. Aleksenko was named Swimmer of the Year after his three individual golds with two meet record times. De Geus’s 100 breaststroke title earned him the Swim of the Year, while Gonzalez was named Diver of the Year. Keiser’s head coach Adam Epstein was named the Men’s Coach of the Year.

On the women’s side, the Seahawks’ Nikoline Biltoft-Jensen earned Swim of the Meet after winning the women’s 100 breaststroke in 1:00.13. Before finishing second in both events last year, Biltoft-Jensen swept the 100/200 breaststroke events in 2022 and 2023.

Lindsay Wilson’s Maaike Broersma repeated as the NAIA Women’s Swimmer of the Year after going three-for-three in her individual events (50 freestyle/100 backstroke/200 backstroke) for the second-straight season.
