After making her return to competition after nearly 18 months away on Saturday night, former World Record holderΒ Katie Hoff swam two more events on Sunday at the Speedo Winter Championships in Plantation, Florida.
First, Hoff won the 200 yard IM race in 1:59.01, and about two-and-a-half hours later she was a 50.55 in the 100 yard freestyle.
She actually wound up placing 2nd in that 100 free. The winner was Michigan commitΒ Clara Smiddy from the AK Sharks, who swam a 50.43.
Finally someone who understands that one shouldn’t taper for more than one Final event per Quaddrennial.
Katie is going to do great!
Katie Hoff must give up the 200 free and 200 IM if she wishes to make the Olympic team in the 200 breaststroke. She wastes her time in these other events.

Interesting interview of Katie at this meet

And about another possible comeback, could we have another great surprise with Dagny Knutson?
She’s just 21! π₯
Think she is still having problems with her eating disorder and lack of money to pay for everything since she didn’t make the national team… But I would love to see her come back! She was AMAZING in 2011
Very decent times for Katie.
1.45 in the 200 free was perhaps her best performance.
I would be so happy if she could be in the US 4X200 free relay team for 2015 and 2016. She deserves an olympic gold medal!
Go Katie!
Where is Katie training???? What team does she swim with?
Great question, does she train with the University team in Miami where she attends school?
I have read she represented the Hurricane Aquatics at the University of Miami.
I am so happy she is back competing.
She is so talented, and the nicest person!
I hope to see her here at RioΒ΄16!
