Jillian Breeger, out of Newport News, VA, will stay in-state as she has verbally committed to swim at James Madison University.  The soon-to-be Duke currently attends Menchville High School and also swims for the Coast Guard Blue Dolphins club team, where she has had a solid career thus far across several strokes and distances.

More recently, Breeger put up some notable times at the 2014 Virginia Short Course Senior Championships:

100y breaststroke – 1:07.17
50y freestyle – 24.40
100 butterfly – 56.85

Breeger’s long course top times include a 27.33 in the 50m freestyle and 1:00.59 in the 100 freestyle.  With four graduating seniors this Spring, the James Madison University Dukes will be served well by Breeger’s diverse stroke capabilities in the 2014-2015 season.

Interestingly…USA Swimming does have that on the list. However…I tend to think this may be an error with USA Swimming. We’ll follow up with them to confirm.
