Headed For A Scratch-Less Evening In Windsor For Day 1 Finals

2016 SHORT COURSE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS

The start lists for this evening’s session have been published and there are no scratches in sight. That means we’re in for a thrilling finals session, complete with a trio of individual swims by the Iron Lady Katinka Hosszu. She has maintained her 3 final appearances across the women’s 200m freestyle, 400m IM and 100m backstroke, as the Hungarian will vie for 3 world championship titles.

Japan’s Daiya Seto also has his hands full with a tough 200 IM/200 freestyle double, although it’s nothing the Olympic bronze medalist isn’t used to taking on at a meet.

Several other swimmers, such as Australia’s Emily Seebohm, Russia’s Vlad Morozov and America’s Ali DeLoof will most likely see a 2nd swim in the form of a 4×100 freestyle relay leg, although the specific line-ups per country have yet to be published.

Action kicks off at 6:30pm ET at the WFCU Centre in Windsor.
