The French Federation is releasing a series of quick-hit videos on the FFN YouTube channel introducing members of France’s 2016 Olympic team in facts and figures. The videos are all under a minute and are a great way to portrait France’s stars for the Snapchat crowd.
In this video, we learn that Coralie Balmy:
-was born on June 2, 1987 in La Trinité, in Martinique;
-participated in her first long course international meet in 2008 at the European Championships in Eindhoven;
-won her first international title as a member of France’s 4×200 free relay in Eindhoven in 2008;
-has a pool named after her in Sainte-Marie, Martinique;
-became European Champion in the 400 free at the in 2012 at Debrecen;
-won an Olympic bronze medal as a member of France’s 4×200 free relay in London in 2012;
-is 29 years old.
Note: Balmy, captain of the French women’s team in Rio, qualified for her third Olympic final in the 400 freestyle on Sunday.
