Former Haddon Glen Swim Club Swim Coach Arrested

Former Haddon Heights, New Jersey swim coach Joseph F. Blake has been charged with two counts of sexual assault, one count of endangering the welfare of a child, and one count of stalking in connection with an alleged sexual relationship with a teenager from 2011-2013.

Update: USA Swimming has confirmed that Blake is not a current member, but was a coach member from 2013-2014 at the South Jersey Aquatic Club.

The allegations stem from accusations that he had a relationship with a former member of the Haddon Glen Swim Club when she was 15 to 17 years old. Blake, now 25, would have been 20 or 21 when the alleged relationship.

According to a release by -Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Haddon Heights Police Chief Richard Kinkler, Blake was taken into custody on Thursday and his bail was set at $250,000.

Blake was formerly listed on the club’s coaching page as “Joe Blake.”
