William & Mary swimming and diving will bring on Nathan Kellogg as an assistant coach. Coach Kellogg has confirmed that he’ll make the move to William & Mary from Georgia Southern, where he was the Head Coach for 10 years. Kellogg initially joined the GSU program as an assistant, but was promoted to head coach in 2005. He completed his master’s degree in sport management from Georgia Southern in 2010. He is also a member of the College Swim Coach’s Association of America (CSCAA), American Swim Coach’s Association (ASCA) and USA Swimming.
Kellogg brings a strong record of coaching success to Williamsburg, having achieved the winningest record in Georgia Southern program history after the 2011-12 season. Under Kellogg, the Eagles rewrote the entire school record book, with 68 new records during his tenure. He led them to five top 3 finishes at CCSAs, including a 3rd place finish at the 2016 CCSA Swimming & Diving Championships. As of the 2015-16 season, his overall dual meet record is 93-52-1.
Kellogg joins a Tribe team that will head into the 2016-17 season as the defending Colonial Athletic Association champions on both the men’s and women’s sides. Last season at the CAA meet, the men set a league record for points scored and winning margin, taking the title with 969.5 points. The women brought home their first CAA title since 2007.
Incredible hire for a coach that will contribute immediately with strong integrity and class!
