January 24, 2025 –  The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) has released the January edition of the Division II Top 25 dual meet poll, with the Drury men and Colorado Mesa women claiming the top spots.

The committee, made up of Division II coaches, evaluates and ranks the nation’s top 25 dual meet teams based on several factors. These include head-to-head dual meet results, performances since the last rankings, season-long achievements, dual meet records, roster changes (such as injuries), and data from the SwimCloud Simulator. It’s important to note that the poll is not intended to predict top finishers in a championship meet format.

The Drury University men (269) retained their top spot to kick off 2025, with Colorado Mesa (258) narrowly edging out Tampa (257) for second and third place, respectively. Indianapolis (239) and Grand Valley State (236) completed the top five. Delta State (117) climbed five spots to 15, while West Chester (92) made a notable move, rising four spots to 18. No new teams entered the top 25 this month, and a total of 30 programs received votes.

The top six teams in the women’s poll remained unchanged, with Colorado Mesa (224), Indianapolis (212), Drury (210), Tampa (195), Nova Southeastern (192), and Grand Valley (179) battling for the top spots. Colorado School of Mines (72) and Minnesota State (44) made significant leaps, rising from 21 to 18 and 24 to 21,, respectively. Florida Southern broke into the top 25, coming in at 24 after being on the bubble last month. A total of 27 teams received votes to kick off 2025.

*Dual meet records are sourced from each institution’s website.
