CSCAA Inducts 2025 Division III Hall of Fame Class At Annual Awards In Raleigh

The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association (CSCAA) officially inducted its 2025 Division III Hall of Fame class this past Monday, May 5, at the CSCAA Annual Awards Celebration in Raleigh, North Carolina. The 20-member class represents the second group to be honored, following the inaugural class of 38 that was inducted in 2024.

“Congratulations to the Division III Hall of Fame Class of 2025,” CSCAA Executive Director Samantha Barany wrote in the organization’s press release. “This Hall of Fame celebrates the extraordinary careers of swimmers, divers, and coaches who have left a lasting legacy in Division III collegiate swimming and diving. These inductees are celebrated not only for their athletic excellence but also for their enduring contributions to the sport, their teams, and their institutions.”

The class included eight coaches, two female athletes, and nine male athletes. Johns Hopkins University and Kenyon College each had three swimmers inducted in this year’s class. Full bios of each of the 2025 inductees can be viewed in full by clicking here.

Notably, coaches made up the majority of the 2024 class as well, which featured 16 coaches, 11 female athletes, and 11 male athletes.

Nancy Bigelow, who coached at Tufts University for over 36 years, was among the inductees.

Given the amount of time we’ve spent together, I consider Nancy to be extended family and am thrilled to see her receive this honor,” said Tufts head coach of men’s and women’s swimming & diving, Adam Hoyt, in a statement to the Tufts athletic department. “Her values and teaching have lived on through the coaches on staff she worked with and the many athletes she helped develop over her career. She is so very deserving of this honor.”

Gregg Parini, now the head coach at Denison University, was among the 2025 inductees not for his coaching achievements, but for his standout collegiate career as a swimmer at Kenyon College.

During his time there, Parini helped lead the team to three NCAA Championships. He earned 18 All-American honors across individual and relay events and captured back-to-back national titles in the 50 freestyle (1980 and 1981), along with a victory in the 100 free in 1981. He was also a key contributor to four national title-winning relay teams, bringing his total to seven NCAA Championships as an athlete.

I’m honored to be included alongside some of the all-time greats in D3 swimming — including my teammates and friends Tim Bridgham and Tim Glasser,” Parini told Denison University Athletics. “Anything I accomplished in the pool was the result of their good example and inspiration. I’m grateful to be included with them.”
