Four top-10 seeded swimmers have scratched out of that respective event for the first preliminary session from the Indianapolis Pro Swim Series on Thursday morning, headlined by Jack Conger and Erica Sullivan.
Conger, the sixth seed in the men’s 100 freestyle, has dropped that in favor of the 200 fly, where he comes in ranked 12th.
Sullivan, the third seed in the women’s 400 free, has dropped the event, and had also scratched out of Wednesday evening’s 1500 free where she was the #1 seed.
Also dropping an event from a top 10 seed was Remedy Rule and Andi Murez.
Rule was seeded fifth in the 200 fly, but has dropped the event and has no other events scheduled for the day. It’s possible that Rule, who represents Longhorn Aquatics, won’t be present in Indy and instead will race at the Austin Elite meet next weekend.
Murez was ranked seventh in the women’s 100 free. That was also her only entry of the meet.

Finally a 58+ in the 100 Breast from an American….
Month out of Trials, and Comerford is still hitting 55+
It’s crazy how Conger went like 1:54.5 in the 200 fly in 2015 and never really dropped from that. Always felt really bad for him, cause he totally had the potential to medal at worlds.
He is still there…he’ll put 2&2 together.
Crazier that he went a 1:55 back before that.
