SALINE, Mich. – The University at Buffalo women’s swimming and diving team (2-3, 2-2 MAC) defeated the Eastern Michigan Eagles (2-7, 1-2 MAC) on Saturday afternoon by a score of 165.5-92.5.
The Bulls won nine of the first 10 events, beginning with the 400 medley relay. The team of Mia Naccarella, Katie Pollock, Clarice Fisher, and Toni Naccarella finished first with a time of 3:49.68.
For the second time on the weekend, Mia Naccarella finished first in both the 100 backstroke and the 200 backstroke, with times of 56.13-seconds and 2:02.82, respectively.
Toni Naccarella also earned victories in two individual events for the second consecutive meet, winning the 200 freestyle in 1:52.93 and the 100 freestyle in 51.42-seconds.
UB swept the 200 butterfly and 200 breaststroke. Kaley Ream won the 200 butterfly in 2:04.22, with Clarice Fisher taking second, and Nicole Aguilar finishing third. Kasey Keaney finished first in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:22.95, while Taeghen Brezovski and Katie Pollock finished second and third, respectively.
The Bulls recorded another relay victory in the 200 freestyle relay, with the team of Mia Naccarella, Toni Naccarella, Sawyer Bosley, and Abbey Malmstrom winning in 1:35.32.

The Bulls are back in action on Saturday, Jan. 28 as the team hosts Bowling Green at Alumni Arena Natatorium.

SALINE, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — The Eastern Michigan University swimming program dropped its final meet of the regular season, falling to the University at Buffalo 165.5-92.5, Jan. 21.
How It Happened
The Green and White won four events including a victory in the 1,650-yard freestyle by freshman Alexandra Kudo (Guelph, Ontario-John F. Ross Collegiate Vocational Institute) with a mark of 17:12.25.
Junior Katie Shoen (Owego, N.Y. – Owego Free Academy) took first in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 23.86 while senior Carlin Hudson (Chattanooga, Tenn.-Chattanooga School for the Arts & Science) proved victorious in the 500-yard freestyle with a mark of 5:05.20. The Tennessee native also took the top spot in the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:07.75.

The Eagles will look to the MAC Championships, Feb. 22-25, hosted by Miami University, for their next competition. Prior to the league championships, EMU will host its annual Senior Day Extravaganza Saturday, Feb. 4, at Skyline High School to honor its graduating class.
