The Knoch High School senior finaled in both the 200 IM (5th) and 100 breast (3rd) at the 2016 PIAA Girls AA Swimming and Diving Championships; she also swam breast on Knoch’s medley relay. A year earlier she was fourth in the IM and third in the breast.
Swimming for her club team, Butler Y Aquatic Club, Zukowski was a top-8 finalist in the 50/100/200 meter breaststrokes at the 2016 YMCA Long Course National Championships, and in the 100/200 meter breaststrokes at the same meet in the summer of 2015.
Her best times include:
- 50 Breast- 33:58 LCM
- 100 Breast- 1:03.13 SCY / 1:13.59 LCM
- 200 Breast- 2:18.42 SCY / 2:40.00 LCM
- 200 medley relay national champion (breaststroke leg)
Zukowski will add immediate value to the Lobos’ roster. She would have scored in the B final in both the 100 breast and 200 breast at the 2016 Mountain West Conference Championships, which would have been important points, as New Mexico finished only 10 points out of sixth place. Zukowski will have an excellent training partner in now-sophomore Mareike Foester, the Lobos’ highest finisher in the breaststroke events last year.

Hey her long course time is the same as New Mexico Olympian Cathy Carr who won the 100 meter breaststroke in 1972
