BOSTON — The Eagles followed up their road trip last week with a strong showing at Northeastern this weekend, taking on Northeastern and Drexel on Friday and Saturday. The men defeated Drexel 176.50 to 123.50, and the women went 2-0, beating Northeastern 179-120 and Drexel 161-138 to complete the sweep.
In the men’s diving portion, the trio of Dale Nickerson, Josiah Klock, and Angus Williams claimed all three podium spots in both the 1-meter and 3-meter events. Nickerson won both events as he secured two NCAA Zone A Cuts with a 308.35 in the 1-meter and a 359.45 in the 3-meter.
On the women’s side, Livy Poulin won the 1-meter event with a 283.65, and teammate Anna Mae King placed second with a 281.75, earning her first NCAA Zone A Cut with that performance. She will join Poulin, who earned her Zones cut earlier in the season.
In the swimming portion, the Eagles swept the men’s 200 freestyle behind the performances of Bryce Henkel, Zander Santana, and Andres Wong. Freshman Megan Kramer won both the women’s 1000 freestyle and the 200 fly to continue a very strong start to her season.

• Roger Brown and Matt Szekely placed first and second in the 100 back
• Zachary Szmania and Lucius Yu-Kisselbach placed first and second in the 1000 free
• Zander Santana won the 100 free with a time of 47.11
• The Eagles swept the 500 free (Zachary Szmania, Ryan Lenahan, Matt Szekely)
• The relay team of Ryan Mathis, Zander Santana, Matt Szekely, and Damion Geoghegan Ribeiro won the 200 free relay with a time of 1:24.85
Women’s Highlights:
• Megan Kramer’s time of 10:12.94 in the 1000 free ranks second All-Time in program history
• The relay team of Lauren Sielicki, Gigi Baldacci, Katie Drumm, and Haley Dolan won the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:44.82
• Gigi Baldacci and Liza Murtagh placed first and second in the 200 breaststroke
• Nicole Barkemeyer placed second in the 200 individual medley with a 2:08.31

BOSTON – Hosting its first meet since January 2020, the Northeastern women’s swimming and diving team went head to head against Boston College and Drexel with the Eagles (179-120) and Dragons (157-142) both edging the Huskies on Saturday at Barletta Natatorium.
Northeastern entered the day leading Drexel, 28-10, and trailing Boston College 23-15 following Friday’s diving events. On Saturday, relay events earned 11 points for first place, four for second place and two for third place. Individual events earned nine points for first place, four for second place, three for third, two for second place and one for fifth place.
The Huskies came away with four victories on the day, including Grace Miller in the 200-yard Freestyle (1:54.70) and Jamie Koo in the 50-yard Freestyle (23.56), 100-yard Freestyle (52.70) and 100-yard Butterfly (55.43).
• The Huskies started the day with a third place finish in the 200-yard Medley Relay as the team of Katherine Hong, Victoria Austin, Emily Cooley and Stella Urness clocked in with a time of 1:48.63
• Mary Banick picked up two points towards the team standings with a fourth place finish in the 1000-yard Freestyle, finishing at 10:49.60
• Miller won a tight race in the 200-yard Freestyle at 1:54.70, and also collected a second place finish in the 500-yard Freestyle later in the day (5:05.90).
• Hong went stroke-for-stroke with BC’s Claire Russell in Heat 1 of the 100-yard Backstroke, with Hong finishing second in the heat and eighth overall at 59.42
• Kate Cosgrove collected another impressive performance for Northeastern, clocking in at 57.53 seconds for a second place finish in the 100-yard Backstroke. Cosgrove also finished third in the first heat of the 200-yard Backstroke (2:08.34), ninth overall.
• Francesca Arciniegas (2:12.66) and Mia Thomas (2:13.32) went 1-2 for the Huskies in the opening heat of the 200-yard Butterfly, good for fourth and fifth overall.
• Jamie Koo had a strong race in the 50-yard Freestyle, winning with a time of 23.56 seconds. Koo followed it up with yet another victory in the 100-yard Free at 52.70 seconds and 100-yard Butterfly (55.43).
• Bailey Smith (2:04.34) and Devon Muldoon (2:04.89) finished second and third, respectively, in the 200-yard Backstroke. Muldoon went on to finish third in the 200-yard IM at 2:08.69.
• Cooley, Urness, Angela Woronko and Mikita Pelletier wrapped up the day for Northeastern with a third place finish in the 200-yard Freestyle Relay at 1:37.77.
The Huskies will return to the pool in two weeks when Northeastern travels to Boston University for the Terrier Invitational, beginning on Nov. 19.

BOSTON, Mass. – The Drexel men’s swimming and diving team traveled to Boston, Mass. to compete against Boston College on Friday and Saturday. Despite many standout performances, the Dragons fell to the to the Eagles by a score of 176.5-123.5.
Alessio Gianni pieced together a strong day in the pool, as the freshman had four top-two finishes. The freshman showed off his versatility by finishing first in the 200 medley relay, 200 back and 200 IM. Gianni also finished in second place in the 200 fly. Gianni is part of a 200 medley relay that has finished first in both of its meets. Rounding out the relay team is Kacper Karnik, Paris Raptis, and John Scully.
In addition to the first place finish in the 200 medley relay, Karnik and Raptis both had two first-place finishes each as individuals. Karnik finished first in both the 100 and 200 breast. Likewise, Raptis finished first in the 100 and 200 fly. John Scully also added a first-place finish with a win in the 50 free.
Drexel’s divers took the board Friday night. Peter Soares led the charge for Drexel with a 242.5 off the 1-meter board and a 222.95 off the 3-meter.
The Dragons now turn their attention towards the Patriot Invitational in Fairfax, Va. The three-day event will begin on Nov. 18 and will end on Nov. 20.
BOSTON, Mass. – The Drexel women’s swimming and diving team traveled north, where they split a tri-meet by defeating CAA opponent, Northeastern, 157-142, and falling to Boston College, 161-138.
The standout swimmer of the day was freshman Fede Nocera. The Trieste, Italy native had three first-place finishes and anchored the 200 free relay team that finished first. Nocera finished on top in the 100 back, 200 back, and 200 IM.
Joining Nocera on the 200 free relay team were Lera Nasedkina, Chelsea Gravereaux, and RyannStyer. Nasedkina finished first in the 100 breast, and Maddie Riley in the 500 free, who also finished second in the 1000 free, Rounding out the first-place finishes for the Dragons.
On Friday night, the divers took center stage. Becca Demaree finished fifth on the 1-meter dive with a score of 263.75.
The Dragons now turn their attention towards the Patriot Invitational in Fairfax, Va. The three-day event will begin on Nov. 18 and will end on Nov. 20.
