Bolles Boys, SwimMAC Girls Win 2016 U.S. Winter Juniors East

2016 U.S. WINTER JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIPS- EAST

The 2016 U.S. Winter Junior Championships (East) are in the books, and we’ve now crowned our men’s, women’s, and combined team champions. The Bolles School Sharks repreated as champions on the men’s side, winning with 389 points. They had 5 swimmers finish in the top 8 individually to contribute to the win: James Daugherty, Willie Davis, Isaac Davis, Ariel Spektor, and Paul DeGrado. The team also had 4 winning relays: The 200 medley relay, 400 medley relay, 200 free relay, and 400 free relay.

  3. SwimMAC Carolina- 242.5
  4. Cincinatti Marlins, 212
  5. Upper Dublin Aquatic Club, 194

  8. Baylor Swim Club, 125
  9. Swim Atlanta, 121
  10. Ohio State Swim Club, 110

The SwimMAC women also repeated as team champions, picking up a total of 491 points. They had 5 swimmers finish in the top 8 individually to contribute to the win: Julia Menkhaus, Sinclair Larson, Stephanie Nelson, Jane Donahue, and Caroline Hauder. The team also won the 200 medley relay.

SwimMAC Carolina came out on top of the combined team scores, leading all other teams by over 100 points. Also placing in the top 5 combined standings were Carmel Swim Club, Bolles, Nashville Aquatic Club, and Gator Swim Club.
