Arena Announces Signing of Connor Jaeger Before 400 Free Final

Connor Jaeger ended his college swimming career in March as a three-time NCAA Champion, including back-to-back titles in the 1650 freestyle, and on Saturday, his first big suit sponsorship was announced.

Jaeger will be wearing Arena in Saturday’s men’s 400 free final, where he’ll be trying to defend his title. He was the 3rd seed after prelims in 3:49.63, and sat dead-center in the midst of five men who ranged from 3:49.3 to 3:49.9 in the heats this morning.

Regardless of the outcome of that race, Jaeger has already sealed his spot on the 2014 Pan Pacs team with a 14:51.06 victory in the men’s 1500 free on Wednesday, the meet’s first day. That was the fastest that he’s been at a National Championship meet by a second-and-a-half.

Jaegers deal will extend through at least 2016.
