For the 15th time, the Vladimir Salnikov Cup is bound for St. Petersburg, with many of Russia’s top athletes set to get one more short course competition under their belts beginning on December 27th.
Meet organizers revealed that spectators will indeed be allowed to watch the swimming live, limited to a crowd of 300, observing COVID-19 protocols.
Among the athletes scheduled to race is 24-year-old Anton Chupkov, although he’s been in this situation before. Chupkov was set to retire this year but then wound up racing at the FINA World Cup stop in Doha, as well as the final meet in Kazan. He did not compete at the just-concluded FINA Short Course World Championships.
Medalists from Russia there in Abu Dhabi include 400m IM silver medalist Ilya Borodin, 50m back/100m IM gold medalist Kliment Kolesnikov, 100m IM bronze medalist Maria Kameneva and 200m breast silver medalist Evgenia Chikunova.
Additional swimmers slated to race:

Live stream?
Only for the finals it seems:
Day 1
Day 2
I tried to link the streams on YouTube but it annoyingly got caught in the modqueue so just search YouTube for Кубок Владимира Сальникова
Oh, for a visa, a non-stop air flight, and the stamina of these athletes – and I would really enjoy seeing this competition live!
