Adrianna Barone, a current high school senior from Lighthouse Point, Florida, has committed to swim for Division I Florida International University. Barone will graduate from Calvary Christian Academy in spring 2020 and join the Panthers’ class of 2024.
Barone is currently a year-round swimmer for St. Andrew’s Aquatics along with swimming for her high school team at Calvary.
She is a three-time Senior Championships high point winner and recently became the first girl at Calvary to win an individual medal.
“The first time I went to the campus, met the coaches, and the team I fell in love with the program and the atmosphere around it. They’re super passionate about swimming as well as academics and it made the choice clear, that FIU was the perfect fit for me. I personally want to thank all my friends, family, and coaches for making me a better person each and every day, I am so excited to be a Panther! PAWS UP!”
With her current best times, Barone would have had a multiple finals performances at the 2020 C-USA Women’s Championships with Florida International. She would have placed 8th in the 1650 freestyle (17:16.18), 15th in the 500 freestyle (5:02.97) and 16th in the 200 IM (2:07.10).

As a team, the Florida International Panthers placed 1st as a team by almost 200 points at the C-USA Championships this year.
Barone will begin her swimming career at Florida International University beginning fall 2020.
