Leon Marchand got his first LCM race reps of 2025 in at the Ft Lauderdale Pro Swim last weekend. Marchand didn’t win a single race, having tight battles in both the 200 and 400 IM but ultimately touching 2nd in both. After the meet, Marchand reflected that his goal for the weekend was just to see where he was at with racing and now he has done that.

A: he didnt feel great during the prep and the races were hard as expected
Q: how did the 400im impact the rest of the meet
A: the 400im was no problem but the second day was tiring as he spent 6h at the pool, he still needs training
Q: do u wanna specifically work on your freestyle
A: no i just train as allways and will work on my underwater kicks

This is why he’s so good. Not even worried about his times. He knows what has to be done and he is confident that he can. And he doesn’t even worry about those bad races
