Don, NBAC and FAST were both at the training center. I asked Tony about any interaction with the other squads, but he said their paths only crossed when walking around campus. Never in the pool.

One thing I’ve always liked about Garrett’s interviews is that he asks questions that matter to people who want to know specifics about how athletes/coaches think and act. We all can’t sit in and observe how Teri and Dave train, motivate, and counsel their athletes and Garrett tries to make sure we at least get a glimpse. Keep up the good work Garrett!

Really enjoyed the interview Garrett and it gives a glimpse into what makes Anthony Ervin tick. He seems by far the most interesting and complex swimmer that has embarked on the comeback trail. .His candor is very refreshing and I wish him the best of luck at trials.I’m not sure if this would be an appropriate question and God knows you don’t want to get him thinking about it but how often do they practice starts and is there anything he does to practice not false starting? Also, who else is training in the springs with them?
