All Around Session 2 and Elite Camp

All Around Camp – Ages: 8-18

This camp is aimed at hitting all aspects of swimming. The Tiger All Around Camp is aimed to take all of the knowledge of the Mizzou Coaching staff and merge everything together, including technique, training, and mental performance. We will be teaching stroke technique, starts, turns, training, and race strategy. We will leave no stone unturned to make your swimming better. This will be run slightly differently than our other All Around Camps. It will still contain 8 total swims, but with one day less. So Monday and Tuesday will be triples!

Elite Camp – Ages: 14-18

Requirements: 3 sectional cuts (recommended at least one freestyle cut)

A new introduction to the Mizzou Swim Camps, we are introducing our first Elite Camp this year! This will be a great introduction of D1 collegiate training that our athletes do. This group will be integrated with the All Around Camp for all activities outside of water sessions. During water sessions, the morning will be the same for both groups; in which technique and stations will be introduced. The later sessions will be full training focus that can extend and is not limited to threshold, stroke specific, and aerobic.

MIZZOU AQUATIC CENTER

One of the finest on-campus swimming and diving facilities in the nation, the Mizzou Aquatic Center serves as the home of Missouri’s men’s and women’s swimming and diving programs and has hosted some of the nation’s top meets.

Opened in 2005, the Mizzou Aquatic Center features a 50-meter competitive pool with a moveable hydraulic floor. The pool’s water is kept between 78 and 80 degrees at all times with a maximum depth of eight feet, six inches.

In addition to the competitive pool is the 25-yard diving well, stocked with top-of-the-the-line amenities. Kept at a temperature between 84 and 86 degrees, the diving well features two one-meter springboards, two three-meter springboards and one, three, seven-and-a-half and ten-meter platforms. Under the three-meter springboard and seven-and-a-half and ten-meter platforms is positioned a Sparger bubble system. Divers exit the water via a set of stairs that are accessed by ladders and have the option of showering in a set of warm showers behind the diving towers. On top of that, the diving well houses its own separate hot tub.

Both the 50-meter pool and diving well have Ultaviolet (UV) disinfection systems – in concert with proper air handling and pool chemistry, the UV systems provide better air and water quality to the Mizzou Aquatic Center.

The facility also boasts two moveable Stark bulkheads, 18-inch flow over drop gutters.

Proving its worth as one of the nation’s top facilities, the Mizzou Aquatic Center has served as host for the 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012 Missouri Grand Prix, one of the nation’s top swimming competitions. Additionally, the 2006, 2009 and 2012 Big 12 Conference Championships took place at the facility and most recently, the 2016 SEC Swimming and Diving Championships.
