It seems as though a Texas win is all but guaranteed tonight as the final day of competition lingers in Iowa. Texas is entering day two with 399 points, a whopping 124 points ahead of Cal who sit in second with 275.
Third right now is Michigan with 297.
Note: Projections do not include diving

Cal is set to have a great day three as well. They’re projected to grab seven more points than Texas tonight and finish second with 395 points. Michigan is very safe for a third place spot. They’re in a position to grab 87 points tonight to put up 297 collectively.
In the battle for fourth, it’s looking as though USC could pass Florida. Florida didn’t have a fantastic day three prelims whereas USC was very solid. USC is projected to score 66.5 points tonight to Florida’s 37.
Stanford and Georgia are in a lock tonight for sixth place. Stanford is supposed to grab 197 points based on prelims results and Georgia 196.5. It’ll come down to the wire for those two teams.
The other big move in the points could be NC State. Based on prelims results it’s looking as though they’ll move up two spots, passing both Auburn ad Alabama. They’re projected to finish eighth with 192.5 points. Alabama looks as though they could pass Auburn tonight as well.

I totally missed it; what happened?
I hope Conger will win 200 fly and officially set NCAA record. He was very disappointed not to win 100 fly. He had tough championship his freshman year after coming in as a top recruit (with Murphy). I am not a big UT of Texas fan, even though I live in Austin, but I wish Conger the best.
Why is nobody talking about what happened in the 2fly? How they added time to that one heat?
What happened? Timing malfuction?
NC State’s relay DQ going to cost them 6th
Yup. It’s a bummer. But thems the breaks. They dont graduate a ton of points but will need to replace some crucial relay legs. I like their recruiting class and Held looks like the real deal.
Texas has got it going on: great school great coach excellent facilities fully funded desirable location weak conference All the stars are in alignment. Great job horns!!
Just to make it interesting; Texas should not swim or dive tonight! 399 is probably enough!
