2000 Olympic gold and silver medalist Ed Moses will appear on Tuesday night on the CW show “Oh Sit!” which is basically American Gladiators combined with high-intensity musical chairs. The show airs at 8PM Eastern Time, 7 PM Central Time. The show is premiering its second season this week.
The show’s official website can be seen here.
Moses won a gold medal at the 2000 Olympics in Sydney in the American 400 medley relay and added to it a silver in the individual 100 breaststroke. The former University of Virginia star has appeared on other physical-challenge type television shows, including the Disney season of the Golf Channel show “Big Break”. He’ll hope to have a little better luck in his new endeavor, as he was the first contestant eliminated.
He was also the star of his own Universal Sports reality show that was originally launched as “Stroke Kings” and then retitled “Against the Tide.”
Moses attempted to make a comeback in 2011 and 2012, but fell short when at 32-years old he was 21st in the 100 meter breaststroke at last year’s Olympic Trials.
Lest we forget, he’s not the only Olympic gold medalist to show off his mettle in this sort of intense physical competition…
Mel, your talents never cease to amaze me. Gold Medal Renaissance Man, you are.
