Noemie Thomas has shown tremendous success following her freshman year at Cal which has already resulted in an NCAA relay title, NCAA team title, and a 100m fly national title at the 2015 Canadian Trials.
After an injury last year kept her off the 2014 Commonwealth Games and Pan Pacs roster, Thomas bounced back this season to drop a 58.08 100m fly in prelims to prove she was on her game.
In finals Thomas was once again around that mark sporting a 58.17. She ‘Phelps’ed’ Katerine Savard at the wall beating her 58.17 to 58.18. That time solidified her spot on the World Championships roster.
Thomas also took home second place finishes in the 50 and 200m fly races.
As for now it’s back to Cal to finish up her first year of school. Over the summer Thomas will be back in British Columbia training as the Pan Am Games in Toronto and the World Championships in Kazan, Russia fast approach.
