Swim Job: The Marlins Of Raleigh Swim Team seeks Head Sr. Coach for North Raleigh Site

JOB DESCRIPTION

Marlins Of Raleigh Swim TeamThe Marlins Of Raleigh Swim Team (MOR), a USA Swimming Silver Medal Club and regularly ranked top 20 USA Swimming Virtual Club is seeking a head Sr. Coach for our North Raleigh Site.

The successful candidate will design the training plan for our top Srs at that site which include 8 NCSA Jr. National qualifiers. There are 3 experienced and talented full time coaches at the N. Raleigh site that successfully funnel new talent to the Sr. group regularly.

DUTIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO

Designing training plans, positively motivating elite athletes while moving developing athletes to the next level of swimming, completing meet entries, communication with parents, designing dryland/wts program, scheduling 3 pools, promoting MOR in the community, participating in NC Swimming, communicating successfully with other staff, Team Unify website edits, recruiting from the summer league by attending summer meets and conducting clinics.

The N. Raleigh Sr. coach will report to Head Coach Paul Silver.

REQUIREMENTS

The successful candidate will have all required USA Swimming certifications, completed bachelors degree, ASCA level 4 or above preferred. The coach must be passionate about swimming, have outstanding knowledge of technique and training design, strong communication skills, willingness to work hard to achieve team/individual goals, and a vision to help MOR grow and excel.

Applicants must currently reside in the US.

Start date is March 30, 2015.

SALARY

Salary will match experience and it is expected that this position will attract top level candidates.

MOR has 3 sites in the Triangle Area which was voted the #3 swim city in the US by USA Swimming and is regularly listed as one of the top places to live in the US. It is home to a summer league of over 10,000 swimmers and 3 top Universities, award winning public schools, and an area that continues to grow.

MOR has grown from 6 swimmers in 2001 to 535 in 2015 and employs 8 full time coaches at our 3 sites. MOR is coach run and has an office where all coaches maintain office hours. MOR’s mission is “Developing champion athletes and citizens through commitment to excellence in swimming.”

What is your starting pay level if I have more than your requirements plus having swimmers in the Olympics, one who won 2 gold medals for the USA?

I swim in this group and I know it’s gonna be hard to replace such an amazing coach and an amazing person, but I’m sure whomever is found will be a great fit. Go MOR!
