Paddles…Dragsox…Snorkels…sounds like a grueling workout in the making, but at least the members of University of Southern California-based post-graduate squad, Trojan Swim Club, get to do it in the sunshine.

Compliments of retired Swiss Olympian Dominik Meichtry and his DJI Phantom Drone with GoPro 3 equipment, those of us who train in a 4-walled concrete abode can swim vicariously through the likes of Jessica Hardy and Conor Dwyer as, from a drone’s eye-view, they seem to move effortlessly through the water during practice.

Sparkling waters, clear skies and the ability to work on one’s tan while grinding in the outdoor pool at Uytengsu Aquatics Center certainly adds some spice to what would be an ordinary workout for the rest of us indoor-based athletes.
