Fitter and Faster Swim Camps is the proud sponsor of SwimSwam’s College Recruiting Channel and all commitment news. For many, swimming in college is a lifelong dream that is pursued with dedication and determination. Fitter and Faster is proud to honor these athletes and those who supported them on their journey.

NCAA Division II school Saginaw Valley State University has received a verbal commitment from Zoe Vance for the fall of 2020. Vance is from DeWitt, Michigan where she attends St. Johns High School as well as swimming for Mid Michigan Aquatics.

Vance had a breakout meet last fall at the MHSAA (Michigan high school) Girls Division 3 State Championships. She lowered her best time in the 100 back by over a second, swimming a 1:00.33 in finals to take 14th. She also dropped over a second in her 50 free, leading off the St. Johns relay in a time of 25.72.

The Cardinals are coming off a season in which they finished 6th out of seven teams at the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships. With her current best times she would have narrowly missed out on making individual finals as well as contributing on relays

The Lady Cardinals are only in their 7th year as a team, having swam their inaugural season in 2014-2015. They have spent each season under current head coach Bruce Zimmerman.
