The Yale women’s swimming and diving team defeated Central Connecticut State University today, 158-80.  The latest victory bolsters the Bulldogs undefeated record to 14-0.  The meet was highlighted by numerous individual event and relay event victories, including a 1-2-3 sweep in the 1-meter diving event led by Talbott Paulsen, a sweep of the 100-yard butterfly led by Isabella Hindley, a sweep of the 500-yard freestyle led by Destiny Nelson, and sweeps of the 50-yard freestyle and 200-yard freestyle events, led by Amy Zhao and Beatrix Thompson, respectively.

This meet marks the final dual meet of the season.  The only meet that remains in the schedule for the regular season is the famed “HYP” tri-meet against Harvard and Princeton, Feb. 3-4.  HYP will feature fierce competition, as the three teams will be battling it out to determine who will be the winner of the Ivy League dual meet trophy.  Last year, Yale defeated both Harvard and Princeton at HYP to round out the season with an undefeated Ivy League dual record.  This year, the Bulldogs will look to defend that title as they compete at home in the Kiphuth Exhibition Pool at Payne Whitney Gymnasium.

Until then, stay up to date with the Bulldogs via Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
