The Xavier women will add 2 more freshmen to their roster next season, as Alison Herman and Taylor Hogan have both verbally committed to join them next fall.
Hogan is a swimmer for Solo Aquatics, and will make the move to Xavier from New Hampshire. Herman, on the other hand, will be heading to campus from New Jersey, where she currently swims for the Somerset Valley YMCA.
Taylor Hogan
Hogan is primarily a back/butterflier, but she also extends her schedule to the IMs. Last season, she was a 2-time state champion at the New Hampshire D1 State Championships. There, she won the 100 fly in 57.15 and 100 back in 57.95. SHe also extended her success into the long course season, placing 8th in the 200 back (2:22.01) at the 2016 Futures Championships meet in Maryland.

Alison Herman
Herman is a versatile swimmer who could contribute to the Musketeers’ lineup in a variety of events including the back, breast, and IM races. Last season, she competed in the 100 back and 200 IM at the 2016 New Jersey Public State Team Tournament. Her highest finish came in the 200 IM, where she was 14th overall.
Herman also competed in both the short course and long course versions of the YMCA National Championships. At the long course meet this summer, she swam her way into the top 25 with her 24th place finish in the 400 meter IM.
