The Xavier women will add 2 more freshmen to their roster next season, as Alison Herman and Taylor Hogan have both verbally committed to join them next fall.
Hogan is a swimmer for Solo Aquatics, and will make the move to Xavier from New Hampshire. Herman, on the other hand, will be heading to campus from New Jersey, where she currently swims for the Somerset Valley YMCA.
Hogan is primarily a back/butterflier, but she also extends her schedule to the IMs. Last season, she was a 2-time state champion at the New Hampshire D1 State Championships. There, she won the 100 fly in 57.15 and 100 back in 57.95. SHe also extended her success into the long course season, placing 8th in the 200 back (2:22.01) at the 2016 Futures Championships meet in Maryland.
“My favorite thing about Xavier was the big family feel of both the campus and the swim team. I knew it was perfect place for me! I am very excited to compete in the Big East Conference to better my times and reach my goals within the next four years. I cannot wait to be a Musketeer next fall!”
