I hadn’t really registered that Germonprez beat the runner up and another A-finalist from last year’s NCAAs in the 100 breast. An event that didn’t even make it into his lineup last year. With a best time. Damn impressive, no wonder he was pumped up.

I think part of Aaron’s slow swims is the more grueling training of Bob. Bob trains people to be able to have heavy loads at big meets, and recently, Aaron has shown fatigue as meets progress

Maybe but he was also really slow (for him) while at Cal before leaving. And most Texas guys are swimming pretty well.

Even suited some swimmers still struggle to swim fast in season. Maybe he’s just one of those swimmers. I think we’ll know a little more after seeing how the mid season invite goes.
