As a freshman last season, Alabama freshman Kristian Gkolomeev tied for the NCAA Championship in the men’s 50 free with an 18.95 in what was one of the fastest 50 free NCAA finals ever.
He was featured on RollTide.com telling his “Crimson Tide story.” Among other things, Gkolomeev describes how he had a terrible start before coming to Alabama, which was one of the biggest difference-makers in his NCAA title.
