Boyt, a native of Fort Collins, Colo., is entered in three individual events in the 400-meter freestyle, 200 individual medley and 100 breaststroke. She is also expected to participate in several relays.

Boyt is no stranger to competing for Team USA. The 19-year-old Triton’s ultimate goal is to qualify for the next Paralympic Games in Rio, Brazil, Sept. 7-18, 2016.

The swimming competition at the CIBC Pan Am/Parapan Am Aquatics Centre & Field House begins on Saturday, with the program containing finals of the 400 free just after 2:30 p.m. PT. Boyt is set to defend her gold in the 100 breast on Tuesday, Aug. 11, at approximately 2:51 p.m. PT. Preliminaries for the 200 IM are also slated for Tuesday, at 6:44 a.m. PT, with the final later that same evening at 4:04 p.m. PT.
