Keith Brazzell, a senior at Sahuaro High School in Tucson, Arizona who swims at Tucson Ford Dealers Aquatics, has made a verbal commitment to join the University of Arizona men’s swimming and diving team in the 2015-16 season.
Brazzell is a national-level distance freestyler with Summer Juniors times in the 400m free and Winter Juniors in the 800m free. He had a phenomenal long course meters season this past summer, dropping tons of time and breaking through to the next level in just about all the freestyle distances. Here are some examples:
Event | 2014 LCM | 2013 LCM |
200m free | 1:56.58 | 2:01.04 |
400m free | 4:02.74 | 4:16.72 |
800m free | 8:32.95 | 8:59.62 |
1500m free | 17:31.45 | 18:56.45 |
Brazzell had similar, though less dramatic, improvements over the last short course season:

200y free | 1:43.58 | 1:45.86 |
