The University of Tennessee has assured us that the program’s head swimming & diving coach Matt Kredich is fine, in spite of appearances.
Reports out of Knoxville are that Kredich, who coached his women’s team to an SEC Championship in 2020, has been seen wandering around a dark Alan Jones Aquatic Center breaking invisible huddles, clapping loudly, and drinking the pool water.
“Dad woke me up this morning telling me that I shouldn’t be mouth breathing, I should be nose breathing,” his son Miles Kredich, a swimmer at NAIA school SCAD, said. “I don’t even live at home.”
“We’re not worried about him,” Kredich’s wife said. “I mean, we’re not. He’s going to be fine. I think he’s dealing with it by cooking a lot, and so, the boys…they eat a lot, but I mean 10 meals a day. We’re not worried, I just want to say, he’s going to be fine, it’s just a tough period for him.”
Swimmers, call your coaches, make sure they’re doing ok.
