Team Aquatic Supplies is proud to announce the signing of Canadian record-holder, World Championship bronze medalist, and Pan American Games gold medalist Emily Overholt.
Inspired by watching the 2008 Olympics, Overholt dedicated herself to swimming and hasn’t looked back since.
2013 was a busy year for Overholt. After coming home with three golds and a silver from the Canada Games, Overholt took the bronze in the 400m individual medley at the 2013 FINA Junior World Swimming Championships. The following year at the 2014 Commonwealth Games, Overholt anchored her team for the 4x200m freestyle relay to a silver medal; she was the youngest member of the team at the age of sixteen, an honour she retained the next year despite eleven rookies joining the team.
It was at the 2015 Toronto Pan Am Games that Overholt showcased her mental resilience and fortitude. After winning the 400m medley Overholt was disqualified for an illegal turn. She came back from that disappointment to join her team in bringing home a bronze medal in the 4x200m freestyle relay. The next night, she took gold in the 400m freestyle, setting a Pan Am Games record in the process. Less than a month later she won bronze in the 400m individual medley event at the 2015 World Aquatics Championships, beating the national record by more than three seconds. Team Aquatic Supplies is proud to be working with an athlete exhibiting such passion, excellence and dedication as Emily Overholt.
