Halloween’s coming up. Ruta’s already seeing skulls in her coffee. What’s really scary, though, is the fact that tomorrow morning is swim practice and I’ve had too many donuts this weekend to survive that 5am wake up.

You know what, long course might just be scarier than morning practice. Yes, yes it definitely is. Whose idea was it to make a pool that long? No, coach, I don’t want to do the 400m IM. I’m a sprinter if we’re at a long course meet.

One of the only good things about my main stroke being butterfly is the fact that I can do open turns and avoid massacres like this one.
