Another “swammer” is making headlines outside of the pool, as four-time Olympic medalist Summer Sanders is taking on a new role as game show host.
HLN (CNN Headline News) has announced that Sanders will be hosting the network’s first game show entitled “Keywords”, whose premise is that of testing contestants’ web knowledge via providing five keyword clues and then challenging the players to guess the search term Sanders is describing. There is an accompanying app the audience can also download to play along.
HLN has signed on for a 5-show commitment of the series with its premiere scheduled for Tuesday, March 31st at 10pm ET.
Sanders certainly has a solid TV background, as she has served as an Olympic commentator in 1996, 2000, 2002 and 2010, as well as formerly hosted “NBA Inside Stuff” with Ahmad Rashad.
Good for her buuuut I’d still rather watch her host Figure It Out any day of the week over a googling game show!
I remember years ago she hosted a kids game show on the Nickelodeon Network. Good for her! Congratulations, Summer!
