St. Bonaventure Cruises to 156-83 Win Over Canisius

The St. Bonaventure women’s swimming and diving cruised to a 156-83 win over Canisius on senior day at the Reilly Center pool.

The team honored seniors, Taylor Anderson, Shannon Haberman, Adelyn Graf, Tanja Kirmse, Elizabeth Malone, Alexa Scanlan and Kati Winterburn before the meet.

The Brown and White dominated individual events, winning eight of the 13 events on the day.

Kirmse had two first place finishes in the 200-yard freestyle she touched the wall at 1:55.45 three seconds faster than her nearest competitor.  Her second first place finish was in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:11.68.

Senior Shannon Haberman finished first in the 1000 freestyle with a winning time of 10:53.63. In the 200-yd IM,Devon McFadden continued her solid season with a first place finish. The sophomore finished first with a time of 2:13.10.

The Bonnies also accumulated wins in the 200-yd fly and 200-yd back. in the fly, Senior Elizabeth Malone took home the top spot swimming a time of 2:09.29. In the 200-yd back, senior Adelyn Graf turned in a solid d\swim with a first place finish in a time of 2:08.52.

Freshman diver, Brittany Hart had a successful first meet in the Reilly finishing first in the one meter with a score of 220.5 and second in three meter where earned a 218.70.

A team of Devon McFadden, Malone, Maria Rocchi, and Rachel Taylor finished first in the 400-yard medley rely.  Taylor stopped the clock at 4:01.27 to secure the victory.

Next Up: The Bonnies will travel to Pittsburgh where will compete in the Pittsburgh Invitational on Nov. 20th-22nd.
