Have ever wanted to know what the training regime for one of the top open water swimmers is like?
Well Sharon van Rouwendaal of the Netherlands is willing to tell you.
van Rouwendaal had an outstanding European Championships in 2014 winning the 10km and finishing second in the 5km open water events in Berlin. She also faired well in the pool finishing fifth in the 800 freestyle.
She then followed that up with a silver in the 400 freestyle, a bronze in the 800 freestyle and a gold in the 4 x 200 freestyle relay at the Short Course World Championships in Doha.
van Rouwendaal has taken to Twitter to share some of her latest training sets.
Last week she put in 95km and finished it off with a relaxing day and a nice snack.

Over the last three weeks she has not done less than 9km a practice, except for this morning when she questioned if her coach Philippe Lucas was sick or not.
Apparently he was just saving something special for tonight!
20 x 100 (3 holding 1:02, 14 holding 1:03, 2 holding 1:01 and she posted a 59.20 on number 20)
