Seto, Atkinson Soar In Tokyo World Cup Points

2016 FINA WORLD CUP – TOKYO

Katinka Hosszu and Vladimir Morozov still lead the series and cluster points after Tokyo, but second-place swimmers Alia Atkinson and Daiya Seto each racked up big point totals and are in line for sizable cluster 3 bonuses.

Hosszu earned 138 points in Tokyo and sits easily #1 overall. Atkinson broke a world record and earned 74 points, far more than all other non-Hosszu swimmers. She sits 32 points up on Yulia Efimova for third in the cluster and 21 points up on Jeanette Ottesen for second in the series.

Meanwhile Morozov notched 69 points and Seto 60 in Tokyo. Morozov holds a 36-point lead in the cluster and has all but wrapped up the series. Seto is second in the cluster at 111, another 36 points ahead of third-place Chad le Clos.

The top 3 male and top 3 female swims of the meet earn bonus points. Top swims are determined based on FINA points. Only the top-scoring swim from each athlete is counted.
