Rio Torch Relay Day 55: Itaporã, Sidrolândia, Rio Brilhante & Dourados

On each day of the official Olympic torch relay, carrying the Olympic flame to the Olympic cauldron in Rio de Janeiro, the Rio2016 Facbeook page is posting brilliant and spectacular images from one of the world’s unique and most beautiful landscapes. Each day until August 5th, we will bring you these stunning images.

On day 55 the torch continued to travel through the state of Mato Grosso do Sul, hitting four different cities. It first hit Itaporã, a city with a population of 17,740. It then moved onto Sidrolândia (population 43,563), Rio Brilhante (population 26,816), and Dourados (population 210,00). All of the cities are located in the Southern region of Mato Grosso do Sul.
