Rice Swimmers Return To Action Thursday at the University of Houston

After a three-week break since the team’s last competition, the Rice swimmers are back in action at one of the biggest meets of the year this Thursday-Saturday (Nov. 21-23) across town at the University of Houston Phill Hansel Invitational.

The U.H. meet consists six teams competing in 18 different swim events over three days (with morning prelims and evening finals of each race). Joining Rice at the Cougars’ Recreation & Wellness Center Natatorium are Conference USA rivals North Texas and Tulane, as well as Idaho, New Mexico State and event host Houston. Prelims for each day of the meet begin at 10 am. Event finals are at 6 pm with four championship seeded heats. The event schedule is avaialble on the meet’s home page (link provided above).
