Princeton Will Add Southern California’s Tyler Lin to its Class of 2019

Tyler Lin, who swims at Corona Del Mar High School as well as for AquaZot Swim Club, has been admitted in the early cycle to Princeton University’s class of 2019. Lin is the reigning CIF-Southern Section Division I 100 breast champion, where he also placed fourth in the 200 IM (behind future Tiger teammates Corey Okubo and Liam Karas).

Lin’s top SCY times include:

  • 100y breast – 55.53
  • 200y breast – 2:01.18
  • 200y IM – 1:49.14
  • 400y IM – 3:56.61
  • 50y free – 21.64
  • 100y free – 46.01
  • 200y free – 1:45.83

Lin’s best times would have earned him spots in the B-finals of the 100 breast, 200 breast, 200 IM, and 400 IM at the 2014 Ivy League Championships. He will have an excellent training group at Princeton; in addition to his AquaZot teammates Okubo and Karas, Lin will have about half of the 2014 A-finalists in each of his events to push him along.
