I felt for Marwan watching this because the gaps were way smaller than the time gaps being called out.

I think most of the times Marwan and Ahmed were being called the same time and the big gap was the one with the third guy (who was swimming really fast as well). Coach only called diferent times when the gap was at least 0,5s

Coaching 75s from the middle of the pool like that sucks. Too much walking or yelling.

Gotta clean up those flip turns and get more speed coming out of the walls to save some energy on the surface. Either way he’s gonna be a heck of a race for the distance crew at NCAA’s in ’24

Ya’ll must not have watched the actual video cause he starts to rotate halfway through his turns to get onto his stomach and loses some speed and comes off the wall pretty shallow, but hey not everyone actually reads and watches the content it’s cool.

Coleman, did you ask why he isn’t eligible? He didn’t go to Worlds and still after fall he wont be eligible?!?! Is he taking HS classes in Bloomington?

That was already discussed in another article. That other article is linked above, but in case you missed it: https://swimswam.com/indianas-olympic-champion-ahmed-hafnaoui-ruled-ineligible-for-2022-23-season/

I don’t believe that you can just do a semester as a partial qualifier via initial eligibility rules. I think it requires a full year in residence, regardless of whether you show up and get perfect scores in all your classes in the fall. But someone will definitely correct me if I’m wrong.
